The Heart of the Hills welcomes you to the Hill City Western Heritage Festival, September 19-21. A celebration of Black Hills history, music and cultural heritage, the Hill City Western Heritage Festival is a step back in time. Ride the Wine Train into the West or enjoy musical performances, authentic reenactments and costumed characters, ranch horse competitions, parades and much more. Don’t miss the Hill City Western Heritage Festival, September 19-21!

Authentic Old West attire by participants and spectators is welcome. Prizes for best costume will be given away at several events during the Festival.

Friday, September 19
5 p.m. Cowboy Supper and entertainment by "The Fiddlers Three" High Country Ranch (west of Hill City on Deerfield Road)
Saturday, September 20
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Entertainment including music, cowboy poetry, comedy, historical dramatizations, re-enactors and horse-drawn rides around town various locations around Hill City
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Cowboy and Native American arts and crafts demonstrations Hill City galleries
10 a.m. 1880 Train departs Black Hills Central Railroad station
12:15 p.m. Re-enactment followed by Parade Main Street
1:15 p.m. Wine Train into the West departs

7-9 p.m. Entertainment by Jalan Crossland Band

10 a.m. 1880 Train departs Black Hills Central Railroad station
11 a.m.-5 p.m. Entertainment including Ranch Horse Competition, children's games and 4-H horse games Double Diamond Ranch (near Three Forks, Highways 16 and 385)
1:15 p.m. Wine Train into the West departs
