PIERRE, S.D. – Tours of the Governor’s Mansion in Pierre, which were scheduled to begin this Wednesday and continue every Wednesday through August, have been postponed indefinitely because of the need to pay full attention to Missouri River flooding in the capital city and Fort Pierre.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard and First Lady Linda Daugaard intend to resume the tours once conditions permit and it is appropriate to do so.
The tours will be coordinated by the Pierre Chamber of Commerce. However, the Chamber of Commerce is focusing its efforts on assisting people affected by the flooding.
