SIOUX FALLS, SD- “Come one and come all!” Stuffed tigers and elephants to hug, glow sticks to wave, tigers, trapeze, high flying dare devils and cotton candy to melt in your mouth! It’s all part of the El Riad Shrine Circus experience coming to Sioux Falls April 28-May 1.
This year’s circus will be the 70th Shrine Circus presented by the El Riad Shriners.
Circus committee chair Marv Lovro heads the 50 plus volunteer committee, “The El Riad Shrine Circus puts in well over 5,000 man hours to help present one of the staples of the Sioux Falls community.”
Just weeks count down one of the city’s longest and most fun traditions-- the annual El Riad Shrine Circus in Sioux Falls! This year El Riad Shrine Circus Committee is reaching into the community for assistance and support. “The circus is free to kids 12 and under,” remarks Lovro, “and companies in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area purchase tickets to make sure these kids get to go and see a family filled and fun event.” The circus ticket exchange is one of the events long lasting traditions going back over forty years.
2011 Potentate Pat Colbert chimed in with a big smile on his face, “In today’s world of Xbox and internet, some kid’s have never seen a real live performance of any kind. The El Riad Shrine Circus is music, dancing, plus all the acts we’ve come to expect at a circus, such as the tigers, the high flying trapeze and juggling acts. It’s just great fun!”

Tickets can be purchased online starting April 4 at www.elriad.com and at the El Riad Shrine box office, 14th and Phillips Avenue in Sioux Falls, starting on Thursday April 21st through Wed April 27th 9am to 5pm, and on Saturday April 23rd from 9am to 12 noon.
On April 28, box office moves to the Sioux Falls Arena.
Tickets prices are as follows:
$16 for adult reserved seat
$11 for child reserved seat
$8 adult general admission
Grade school age children FREE with coupon
All proceeds are for the benefit of El Riad Shrine.
