Tourism Advisory Board Retains Officers

PIERRE, S.D. – The Tourism Advisory Board has made no changes to the elected officers for the year 2011.
 
Frank Smith of Gettysburg remains board president and Jim Schade of Volga, vice president.
 
The Tourism Advisory Board is appointed by the Governor and includes visitor industry and citizen representatives from all portions of South Dakota. Members serve in an advisory role and act as liaisons between businesses in their area and the Office of Tourism. The board also offers input about marketing strategies for the Office of Tourism. 
 
The Office of Tourism serves under the direction of Secretary Jim Hagen.
