SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls will host its annual Bark Ranger Extreme from 1-4 p.m. CDT on Saturday, June 19.
With appearances by the Gun Dog Doc, Almost Home Rescue, Sioux Falls Spay Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP), K-9 Search and Rescue, North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA), and Sioux Falls’ fetch! pet magazine, Bark Ranger Extreme is an event for dogs and their families to attend. A short class about dog-bite prevention will be offered for kids.
"It’s a time for dog lovers to come together," said Thea Miller Ryan, director of The Outdoor Campus. "With all of the activities, informational booths, and classes, Bark Ranger Extreme proves to really be a social event for families in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. We’re excited, and hope tons of dogs will come and bring their families, too."
Bark Ranger Extreme will be held in conjunction with the Sertoma Butterfly House’s birthday celebration for its mascot, Cecil the Caterpillar. A book fair and crafts for kids will be held at the Butterfly House, along with refreshments.
Located at 4500 South Oxbow Ave. in Sertoma Park, Bark Ranger Extreme is free to the public. For more information about the event, e-mail TOC@state.sd.us or visit www.outdoorcampus.org
