Sioux Falls, S.D. - Kick off National Tourism Week 2009 with the Sioux Falls Conventon & Visitors Bureau at the Falls Park Visitor Information Center Monday, May 11, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. The event is open to the public.
National Tourism Week is a celebration of the visitor industry. Hotels, attractions, restaurants, retailers and the service industry are all gearing up in anticipation of a successful summer!
The visitor industry is estimated to have created an estimated economic impact in Sioux Falls in 2008 of just over $2.5 million, involving approximately 1,491,500 visitors to the city.
The Falls Park Visitor Information Center summer hours are 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. through October 16th. Be sure to stop in and check out the vast collection of Sioux Falls memorabilia including t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, balls, blankets, chairs and more! The Falls Park Visitor Information Center is managed by the Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau.
