PIERRE, S.D. – Celebrating its 15th anniversary this fall, the Huron Lions and Lioness’ Great Scarecrow and Decorated Pumpkin Festival will be held October 9-12 at Campbell Park in Huron.
"These four days in October provide us with the opportunity to give thanks for a bountiful harvest," said Dianne Gropper, Co-Chair of the Festival. "Our festival will showcase imaginative and unusual creations to promote schools, clubs, churches and businesses in the Huron area."
Over $1000 in cash prizes will be given away at this year’s festival. Individual youth and adult entries are encouraged. In conjunction with the festival, The Huron Convention and Visitors Bureau will be sponsoring a largest sunflower contest. All awards will be given away on the final day of the festival.
