PIERRE, S.D. – Make the trip to Pierre this weekend for the Oahe Days Arts Festival, June 20-22.

"Oahe Days prides itself on offering visitors an experience of art and entertainment at no cost," said Dawn Nagel-Crawford, president of the Oahe Days committee. "Each year we bring in new talented artists and entertainers, along with the tried and true."

The young at heart can stop by the children’s activity area to explore and experience different art mediums and enjoy a variety of activities. Also new to Oahe Days this year is an 1880s-style cowboy camp and photo booth, bingo tent, and several musical entertainers.

Oahe Days continues to showcase art vendors and entertainers from around South Dakota and the Midwest. Returning to Oahe Days are the lumberjack show, fast draw club, and the raft race.

"We believe in providing opportunities for community members of all ages," said Nagel-Crawford. "Our mission statement says it best: building pride through community celebration."
