HOT SPRINGS – On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, you will be able to visit the Mammoth Site and all the new exhibits free with two cans of food.
Last years Mother’s Day KOTA Care and Share at the Mammoth Site was such a success that we will be doing it again this year. In 2007, we received 1,200 pounds of food for the Hot Springs Food Pantry. We are going to try to beat that this year.
Additional exhibits such as the new Woolly Mammoth Butcher Exhibit, Big Bones, Elephant Fossils of the World, American Lion, and other hands-on exhibits. Also ask about our “Yearn to Learn” special, an exceptional educational experience including archeology, paleontology, history and geology of southwestern South Dakota and northwestern Nebraska. Includes “Yearn to Learn” Trip Log, which highlights specific stops along the way from The Mammoth Site to FortRobinson, giving mileage and GPS coordinates.
The Mammoth Site is open 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with the last tour leaving at 4:00 p.m. Summer hours, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. start May 15.
