Mount Rushmore Announces Federal Holiday Closing

(Keystone, S.D.) Through an executive order, President Bush announced

that Monday, December 24, 2007 will be a holiday for all federal

employees. Following this order, Mount Rushmore National Memorial

Superintendent Gerard Baker has announced that the National Park Service

facilities, including the Lincoln Borglum Museum, Visitor Center, and

Information Center will be closed on December 24. The Xanterra

restaurant and gift shop and the Presidential Parking facility will be

open during regular business hours. All facilities within the park will

be closed on Tuesday, December 25, 2007.
