ABERDEEN, S.D. – Feel the thunder at Wheels & Wings, August 25-26, 2007 in Aberdeen. As one of four Great Events promoted by the South Dakota Office of Tourism, Wheels & Wings featuring Sizzlin’ Summer Nights includes two fun-filled days of events including the downtown car show, air extravaganza, parade, great food and much more.
“This is a big event for Aberdeen, and the community is really looking forward to it,” said Georgia Smith, Events and Marketing Manager for the Aberdeen Downtown Aberdeen Association. “We’re really excited about doing it.”
Spectators will discover more than 400 classic and muscle cars and motorcycles along with a variety of airplanes. Whether you come by air or land, head to Aberdeen.
The event kicks off on Saturday at 5 p.m. with a car and motorcycle show, followed by a 9 p.m. parade. On Sunday, gates will open at the Aberdeen Regional Airport at 10 a.m. Entertainment will begin at 11 a.m. with different aerial acts running every half hour until 2 p.m.
