Easter Sunrise Service at Mount Rushmore

KEYSTONE, S.D. – Superintendent Gerard Baker has announced that the annual Easter Sunrise Service will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2007, beginning at 7 am in the amphitheater at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. This non-denominational, musical celebration will be performed by the Hills Parish of South Dakota. Churches from Hermosa and Keystone will coordinate the event.

The service will take place outside in the Mount Rushmore amphitheater so please dress warmly. There will be no charge for parking until 7:30 am. After 7:30 am an annual pass may be purchased for $8.00.

The Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center will be open from 6 am to 5 pm on Easter Sunday. The Spring hours for the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and Information Center will be from 8 am to 5 pm. The Buffalo Dining Room will be open from 8 am to 4:30 pm and the gift shop will be open from 8 am to 7 pm. Beginning May 1, the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and Information Center will be opened from 8 am to 6 pm.
