The Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown is home to more than 500 mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish and invertebrates representing 130 varieties from around the world and those native to South Dakota. Explore animals in naturalistic dioramas in the Discovery Center, tour outdoor exhibits and feed the animals in the Children's Petting Zoo. Shop for souvenirs in the zoo gift shop.
Tour the restored 1885 home of Arthur C. Mellette in Watertown and learn the story of South Dakota's first governor. The site includes displays of the Mellette family heirlooms.
Learn the history of the region at the Codington County Heritage Museum in Watertown. The museum’s collections include thousands of local history artifacts and more than 2000 photographs. Explore both permanent and temporary exhibits, including a turn of the century Victorian home, a country school and a military display.
