SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Opening Fri., Oct. 27, 2006 in the Visual Arts Center’s Galleries B and C is Tea for Two: Ceramic Artists. The exhibit features the works of nine accomplished local artists who create high temperature stoneware and porcelain ceramics. All of the artworks in the show are essentially in the functional pottery tradition. The artists have created teapots and other pieces especially for this exhibition. Featured in the exhibit are ceramics by Carol M. Cenynowa, Thomas B. Clarke, Jess Elofsen, Shannon Frewaldt, Mike Hill, Travis Hinton, Chris Nowatzki, Gerry Punt and Cindy Reverts. The exhibit is sponsored by First Bank & Trust. Tea for Two serves as the featured exhibit for A Pavilion Holiday Festival, an annual fundraiser for the Visual Arts Center. The exhibit runs until Dec. 3, and all of the pieces in the exhibit will be for sale starting with the Nov. 9 Sneak Preview event of A Pavilion Holiday Festival. The sneak preview event will also include a wine tasting social, gourmet appetizers and preview of the Holiday Marketplace. Tickets to the Sneak Preview are $50 per person. All proceeds benefit the programs of the Visual Arts Center.
