The event is located at Wylie Park’s Land of Oz inside Storybook Land. Enjoy the legacy of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” at this free festival. See the real Munchkins from the MGM movie, along with parades, live music, storytelling, artists, food-vendors and much more! The 2006 Oz Festival/The Dakota Heritage was chosen as one of the South Dakota Office of Tourism’s “Great Events.” The Great Events campaign is a marketing tool used to promote events and increase visitation at events across the state. To qualify, an event must meet certain criteria, including visitor appeal, growth potential and length of the event.
