PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Mike Rounds has appointed Jim Entenman of Sioux Falls to the 11-member Governor’s Tourism Advisory Board. “Jim is a great addition to the Tourism Advisory Board,” said James Hagen, secretary of the Department of Tourism and State Development. “He brings considerable business and leadership experience to the position and is known for caring deeply about his community and South Dakota.” Entenman is president and co-owner of J&L Harley-Davidson in Sioux Falls. He serves on the National Harley-Davidson Dealer Advisory Council. He is chairman of the board of the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau and is a member of the Sioux Empire Red Cross Development Committee. “I am honored that Gov. Rounds has asked me to serve on this board,” said Entenman. “I’m looking forward to being part of a team that helps bring the 2010 Initiative goal of doubling visitor spending to $1.2 billion to fruition.” The Tourism Advisory Board is appointed by the governor and includes visitor-industry and citizen representatives from all corners of South Dakota. Members serve as liaisons between businesses in their area and the state’s Office of Tourism. The board also offers input on marketing strategies for the Office of Tourism.
