DEADWOOD, S.D. – The Historic Adams House will host Isn’t It Romantic? Valentine Tours at the Historic Adams House on Friday, February 14, 2014, from 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, February 15 and 16, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The tours are open to the public and tickets are $7.50 per person for members, $12.50 per person for non-members.  Reservations are requested; please call 605-578-3724.  The Historic Adams House is located at 22 Van Buren Avenue, Deadwood.  Parking is available in front of the Historic Adams House or in the Sherman Street parking lot next to First Interstate Bank.

The special Valentine tours feature love stories of the couples who once lived in the home.  Guests will hear about parental love so deep it created a city landmark, and how a chance encounter on a train led to a marriage that shocked residents of Deadwood and Lead. Share in the romances of the Franklins and the Adams through their stories and enjoy selections of classic romantic music—all in the beautifully restored Victorian home.

This event is co-sponsored by Deadwood History, Inc., Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation and Black Hills Pioneer.
