11th Annual Sturgis Mayor's Ride

11th Annual City of Riders Sturgis Mayor’s Ride, Monday, August 5th, during the 2013 Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally. You can join Sturgis Mayor, Mark Carstensen, legislators, motorcycle enthusiasts, industry professionals, celebrities and legends on this fully escorted ride through the beautiful Black Hills. This fully escorted ride will take you through some of the Black Hill’s most spectacular scenery and two lane roads, and get you up close and personal with two of South Dakota’s historic treasures. Your first stop will be Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Participants will be welcomed by the Superintendent of Parks, Cheryl Schreier. A one-of-a-kind photo opportunity with the Mayor’s Ride VIP’s including the famous faces positioned in the background. Next, you’ll travel to South Dakota’s largest and first state park, Custer State Park, home to 1500 free roaming bison and a variety of beautiful and amazing wildlife. You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch on the lawn of the historic State Game Lodge, often referred to as the “Summer White House,” thanks to an extended stay by President Calvin Coolidge in 1927.
