Heritage of the West Performance Series
Spearfish, SD
A 90 minute live stage performance (in a museum!) celebrating the music, poetry, and song of the Great American Cowboy. Held every month, the highly regarded entertainment venue hosts award-winning western entertainers from across the country. Show also broadcasts on radio and takes place at the High Plains Western Heritage Center in Spearfish at 825 Heritage Drive. Contact phone number is 605-642-9378. Pre-show events beginning at 6pm include tours of the museum, special exhibits, re-enactors, book releases and signings, western artisans in visuals, leather, & silver, presentations by well known rodeo cowboys, cowgirls & rodeo queens including inductees to the National Cowboy and Cowgirl Halls of Fame. Beginning at 7pm, tonight's featured artists are school age musicians in “YOUNG GUNS …the next generation of music and storytellers of the West!” Ticket price includes museum admission, Holiday vendors and complimentary pie at Perkins Family Restaurant.
