Located along Highway 18 in south western South Dakota, Martin is home to Brooks Memorial Park and Hodson Memorial Park.

It also houses the Lacreek National Wildlife Refuge, which includes 16,000 acres of sand hills, marshes, ponds, songbirds, waterfowl, pheasants, deer, ducks, geese and swans.
