The town of Groton was once just a prairie railroad station located in north eastern South Dakota. But this little community near Aberdeen prospered along the tracks of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad.

Today, visitors will find Groton a quaint community with a variety of shopping and dining options. The Rural Granary Cultural Center is an old grain storage facility that has been renovated into a fine arts gallery and campus.
