Dell Rapids is located just 18 miles from the city of Sioux Falls. It is best known for its rose colored quartzite which is mined and shipped to places all over the Midwest.

Dell Rapids’ Main Street features nearly 40 historic buildings constructed before 1903, all faced with the rose colored rock. Many of the buildings have been restored to their turn of the century elegance, offering unique gifts, entertainment and dining opportunities.
