9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. central time Monday through Saturday and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays and most holidays from Labor Day through Memorial Day. Summer hours are 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 1 to 4:30 on Sundays. The museum is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and Easter.

Cultural Heritage Center Summer Hours

Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of summer, and the South Dakota State Historical Society is extending the hours the museum is open at the Cultural Heritage Center.
