One Visit – A Thousand Wings Awaits!

Relax YEAR-ROUND in the restful beauty and warmth of a tropical conservatory and be amazed by free-flying butterflies from around the world as they feed from flowers and fruit trays. Learn about butterflies while enjoying bench-sitting photography, tranquility, and renewal. And if a butterfly lands on you- take it for a walk!

Walk among more than 800+ butterflies from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Suriname, Malaysia, Philippines, and Africa.
When visiting the SBH don't forget to bring your camera. There are photo opportunities looking behind every leaf for both amateur and professional photographers. Open at 8:30 a.m. the first Saturday and first Monday of each month to photographers only.

Winter Hours (Labor Day through Memorial Day)
Monday - Saturday 10a.m. - 4p.m.
Sunday - 1p.m. - 4p.m.

Summer Hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day)
Monday - Saturday- 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

After closing activities:
Want to get married or renew your vows? One day advanced reservation notice required.

Hearts-A-Flutter - Looking for a romantic place to propose, first date, or celebrate your love. One day advanced reservation notice required.

Before opening activities:
Shutterbug/Photography with lighting and tripods.
Use of Conservatory for Yoga and Tai Chi and Behind Scenes Tours.
